Sounds like it will all work out in the end and that your bridesmaids are on top of it now! Also, congrats to your friend on the new baby and I am glad you are understanding of how much chaos she is dealing with. I moved last August and still haven't found some things I lost in the move.



Yes, it would have been better for them to let you know sooner. Ugh, procrastinating on things just creates more work and stress for everyone.

Firstly, I saw the comment about them asking where to buy new ones, so I am so glad this is working out! Second, I understand your need to vent and I am so sorry that some people on here were rude about it. Honestly, new trends start ALL THE TIME, so who cares if this is some new thing that brides didn't do 20 years ago? I've been in 4 weddings and wore matching stuff for all of them, and I never thought twice about it. I thought it was cute and fun and made us look like a team there to support the bride. So one of my bridesmaids forgot the robe I had gotten for pictures. I was a little annoyed because everyone else had it but she had traveled so far to get there that I couldn’t really get mad.
We ended up having her in the background behind all the other girls so it didn’t show that she didn’t have the same outfit. It ended being completely fine and not noticeable!
So if you can’t get the same thing again, either arrange everyone so she’s not at the center of the picture or just get her something that looks similar enough (maybe similar color, no print?).In the end, it’s ok to vent and be disappointed but having been in this situation, it really didn’t end up being a big deal at all and my pictures still look super cohesive!

I would just ignore the people who are telling you the girls that they don’t know don’t want to do this when they clearly told you they did. I’ve also lost things that were handed to me 3 months ago, that’s 90 days and it’s been a crazy year. I’ve since found them. But if I was rushing and just put it down quickly, I could have misplaced it. I don’t think it’s too big of a deal that the pajamas are a bigger size that originally thought. Maybe they lost weight or figured they’d run small as a lot of pajamas from Etsy run small. If a new pair can be bought for the girl who lost hers, I’d ask her to buy her new pair.
If they don’t want to do it anymore, I think that’s also fine. But it’s pretty rude for all of the commenters to just assume the girls who told you they wanted to do it were all lying to your face lol.

OP, what style are the PJs? Most are fine a bit oversized and I don’t think you or your girls should worry about ordering new sets—except, if there’s a favorable return policy, I would order a new set for the new mama who may have lost her set.


Here are pics of me and my girls in our matching PJs—I gave them theirs the morning of the wedding with their other gifts so their was no chance any would get lost. You’ll see some are more form fitting and some are a bit looser (I guessed all sizes). I think they all look beautiful!

Totally get this!

Tell the girls you got them PJs and want them to wear them. If they have an issue with the size that they told you to order or lost them, they can purchase themselves new ones.

Slightly too big and I would just wear them oversized (or BM can have them altered at their cost if they want). Lost pair needs to be replaced by the BM who lost them.

I think a robe or pjs IS cute. Trend or not who cares. Your girls wanted to do it and you gifted it. Which was very nice of you btw.

I think some people are being very rude simply because it’s not their cup of tea and then trying to turn your scenario it into something negative and toxic. Not cool. We are all here and supposed to give an outside perspective/outlook to each other, healthy debate with growth and better understanding of views, corrective criticism with manners, kindly remind each other of etiquette and uplift each other. Maybe some need a reminder we are all in the same boat in an awesome time in our lives.

All online boards are all the same. There are some people who are just mean for no reason. I actually thought that a wedding forum would be full of happier people, seeing as how they are planning a major happy event, but I see I was wrong.

No need to be bothered by pajamas. Maybe they can mix and match the pieces among themselves. Since there are still a few unworn tops and bottoms between the bridesmaids. So some of the girls could wear white tank tops with the pajama bottoms. Then the ladies can wear the pajama tops with white boy shorts underneath. Just an idea! It’ll still be “cohesive” and coordinated, without looking like adult quintuplets 😉
