Vendors not cashing checks right away

Hey guys! Anyone have any trouble with vendors not cashing your checks right away? I paid a deposit ($200) for hair/make up and this is going on two weeks that it hasn't been deposited. I can understand a few days but two weeks is too long in my book. I just want them to take my money lol. I think...

Hey guys! Anyone have any trouble with vendors not cashing your checks right away? I paid a deposit ($200) for hair/make up and this is going on two weeks that it hasn't been deposited. I can understand a few days but two weeks is too long in my book. I just want them to take my money lol. I think it's ridiculous but let me know if that typical. It almost makes me want to cancel the entire thing and go with a more timely company.

    I just noticed $100 less in my account this morning. It was the cashed check from my caterer. I gave the check to her 4 months ago!

    I do use my mobile app, but if you signed it in such a way that your signature obscures one of the routing or account numbers, it doesn't go through. If you use a money order, it won't take that either.

    And ona? You probably don't get 40 checks a week.....

    I handed my check for my deposit to my venue over 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't been cashed. I sent an email asking about that, and I'm hoping it clears soon! I hate having that money in my checking account that I can't really spend.

    I sent my photographer a check over three weeks ago and he still hasn't cashed it yet. Ill follow up on this if he doesn't cash it this coming Friday (which will be a month).

    DO NOT PAY CASH! I like checks because I can write on there what it is for incase there is a dispute later on. Credit cards are my back up. Just call her and say you saw it wasn't cashed and you just wanted to make sure there wasn't an issue

    I’m going on 3 months and my wedding venue vendor has not cashed mines out either.
