I skipped the veil because sailing on a windy day with a big flapping piece of fabric attached to my head didn't sound like fun!

No veil for me! Don't get me wrong, I think they're beautiful. However, it's just not my style.

I loved my veil. I had it custom made to match and frame my dress. I only wore it for the first look, pictures before the ceremony and then the ceremony but those are some of my favorite pictures. I wish I had more pictures after the ceremony with the veil.

I opted for a cage veil but all my friends keep saying I should wear a long veil because of the style of my dress (included pic, that's not me it's someone wearing the dress I choose lol) what do yall think?

I said yes to 2 veils Smiley smile I love veils. I had a long one and a short one. Long one was for ceremony and first look photos. Short one was for after ceremony photos and reception.

I’m not really a fan, they’re so heavy and don’t really go with the style I’m looking for.
If I had to pick, I’d do a birdcage because I love how sassy they are lol

I agree with pp that the veil certainly completed the look and made me feel more like a bride. I plan to wear it for ceremony and pictures and replace it with a clip for the reception.

It's a big yes from me! I'm doing a cathedral length veil.

I am waiting to see what dress I get before I decide. My wedding is micro and casual so if the dress and hair look good without a veil, I will probably forgo it to save the money.

I’m still up in the air as to whether I want a veil or not. I feel like it completes the bridal look and feel, but I really want to wear a flower crown and I’m not sure if it would look good with a flower crown and a veil.

I opted for a birdcage veil. It took about 3 months of searching to find the one that "spoke" to me.

I had one and loved it, especially for the pictures. It came off before the reception since it was a cathedral length and I didn’t want to risk tripping/catching it on everything in its path.

A veil feels so formal, traditional or "olden" to me. It has never been a question or debate with me. I won't be wearing a veil. People are so often, "oh that veil is gorgeous", or they start to freak out about how beautiful you are once you put on a veil. Seriously? I wasn't that beautiful without it? Somehow I feel like the only place that a veil makes sense is in a traditional catholic church ceremony.

Loved my cathedral length veil with blusher. It was fun to wear and I got amazing pictures👰🏼

I got got married in a chapel that seats about 1600 so I felt like a veil was needed.

I've always seen myself wearing a veil. However, this weekend I found my weddinf dress, and I tried on a veil with it and it just didnt look right. My dress is kind of a blush color and the veil was white. So that might've been the issue. But also my dress can easily stand on it's own without one. I think it just depends on your dress and hair style. See what it looks like with a veil and without. Then decide.
