Veils are too expensive

The veil that I really want to go with my dress is $300 ugggggghhhhh. My dress was only a $800. It's a cathedral length veil, but I can't see myself paying that much for a thin piece of fabric. Has anyone order a veil from an online site/china Like etsy, jjs, ebay, amazon etc??

I just ordered mine tonight from Amazon. I'm hoping it is worth it. I'm excited. A lot cheaper than any bridal shops.

I was not smart enough and got suckered and pressured into buying a 450 veil! i was very upset with myself. I exchanged it for one that was 350, not much less.

I hope you find a cheaper one!

Hi! I'm a veil designer and if you are interested, their are some great online tutorials. Just search " How to make a cathederal length veil." You get to say you've made it and it can be an heirloom passed down.

I got mine from Amazon for $33. I LOVE it. Super high quality, soft, perfect lace, sturdy comfy comb. The shop (Beautelicate) seems legit and emailed me afterwards to make sure I was happy. I got a fingertip length full lace border Mantilla veil in white. The lace detail matches the lace detail on my Azazie dress perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0711RFPLT?pf_rd_p=1cac67ce-697a-47be-b2f5-9ae91aab54f2&pf_rd_r=W7TPTG7BARCF6H0DPZQY

Try David's Bridal clearance section online. The veil I wanted was $249 at the store so I didn't buy it, but I found a chapel length on their website on clearance for $20. I ended up paying less because they had buy one accessory and get the other half off so I bought shoes too so the veil was only $10.

I got mine on Poshmark! It did take a while of searching through listings, but I found a beautiful cathedral length veil with a lace edge for only $25. It is used, but it doesnt have any markings or staining so I was fine with it. Its also kinda fun to know that it was in someone else's perfect day and now its going to be in my perfect day.

I got my chapel length veil from Blanca Veils on Etsy for $100. It was just as beautiful, if not more beautiful than the $500+ ones I tried on with my dress. I matched the lace to my dress during a fitting and had it custom made. It was gorgeous!

So doing research I wanted a draped cape veil. $300!! no way.

Appliques are $20 for a pair to cover the latch point and have the attachment on.

even the nicest tulle out there is about $6-$12 a yard.

Im gonna purchase the supplies and take it to a seamstress possibly. if i go for a raw edge, I'll just make it myself. I've been sewing since I was 5 and frankly I'd like to put that extra few hundred towards something else for the wedding.

Totally save money on the veil and get one off amazon or Etsy. No one gets that close to it, especially if it’s a cathedral length, it isn’t even worn all that long! Spend the extra money on shoes or jewelry which will have more wear options post-wedding!

I ordered a cathedral length from aliexpress for $24 with sequins and lace. It’s too much veil for me so I’m making one. Silk chiffon $36 a yd and have rhinestones already . I agrrr they are too much $. I’m diy belt and headband from rhinestone trim on aliexpress and eBay. Less than $20 for both
