Veils- 1 or 2 tiers?

Labake , on March 6, 2012 at 8:41 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

What is everyone doing for veils? I'm going to go with a waist length veil. The only thing I can't figure out is if I want to cover my face or not. How did everyone else decide?

I'm doing a 2 tier veil, but I'm wearing it clipped under my updo in the back and it will not cover my face.

So Trista you just like the fullness of the two 2 tier veil?

I am wearing a slightly longer than cathedral length mantilla veil for the ceremony and a birdcage veil for the reception. I am choosing to only do one tier because the two tiers with the mantilla veil looked like I added something extra that didn't belong.

I'm doing a 2 tier fingertip but will not be covering my face. I was originally not doing a veil at all and then thought I would do a single tier floor length. That changed the instant I put on my veil.

I personally like the idea of the 2 tier,my veil has 2 tier and i will be covering my face because my dress has alot of details in the back and i like the idea of FH lifting up the veil.

We intended to have veils covering the face for both of us. NotFroofy's was a two-tier veil, and mine was a one-tier with a blusher attached. However, on the day, both of us forgot to put them over our faces.

My veil was 2 tiers. When I picked it out I wasn't intending on having it cover my face. Eventually my MOH and my MIL bugged me enough about having it cover my face that I tried it out just to see what it would look like, and I decided to do that for the wedding. I say if you aren't sure, go ahead and get a 2 tier veil, that way you can wait and see how you feel closer to the day.

I got a two tier veil, that way if I decide spur of the moment that I want a blusher I can do that. But if I don't it looks just as good as a single tier. If you want something with little volume, than get a one tier otherwise there's no reason to not get a two tier veil.

@ Labake, yes I just got the 2 tier for the fullness factor plus there weren't alot of 1 tier veils to choose from. I'm thinking I might only wear it for the ceremony.

I had a 2 tier, and I did cover my face, because that is what DH wanted.

FH wants a blusher so I'm a 2 tier bride.

I think I'm going to get the two tier. I haven't decided wherther or not I want my face covered but I want to give myself the option.
