I'm going to have an outdoor ceremony so no veil for me. it always seems like the veil steals the show if the wind picks up. Not worth it in my opinion! I'm thinking maybe a birdcage… but i think a big flower in the back of my hair is more my style.

@ Lauren F. - Wowwww i LOVE those two hiar styles you showed in the beginning of the thread! Especially the first one.

And I am also thinking of going w/o the veil bc I want something beautiful like one of those styles.

I'm torn...I am the one doing my hair...so hopefully I can make it look goodSmiley smile

My dress is like a Cinderalla dress so a veil looks really pretty with it...I was thinking perhaps for the ceremony wearing a cathedral one (my dress does not have a train)

and then maybe wearing a short veil for the reception and the whole night...(getting married at 1pm on a cruise and I AM WEARING my dress and veil the WHOLE night lol Smiley smile I only get to wear it once so Im gonna have fun in it! Ill wear it to dinner, to the casino, to the shows...the whole works!

@ Mariel B. Thanks!! I was thinking of the first but after the posts, I think I might do a 50/50 (veil for the ceremony, off for the reception) and a veil like binx's

@Soon to Be -- I'm not sure what those are... Maybe star fish? the pic isn't of me Smiley winking lol found it on google.

Do you ladies think a veil like binx's with the kind of hair style I posted would look good?

No veil for me. I've never wanted to wear one and FMIL is not happy but oh well.

I tried posting pics but WW won't let me for some unknown reason.

Probably not going to wear one. I think it depends both on your dress and on your personal style.

I really want a veil, but when I tried them on when I went dress shoppig, I didn't like any of them on me. I don't know if it is because my hair is short or what. I am going to shop around still because I love the idea of a veil with a wedding dress. Maybe I will buy a veil and take it to my trial appointment for my hair/makeup and see what she can do with it. If it doesn't work out for me, I am also keeping my eye out for a headpiece.

I always figured I'd wear a veil but when I tried the long ones on I just felt funny.

So, I think I'm going to do a birdcage- which I felt much more comfortable in!

I have a very detailed back on my dress so I’m undecided on wearing a veil. I don’t want to hide the corset.

I plan on wearing mine on the back of my head to and underneath my hair. Just for wedding vows renewal ceremony and pics. Not for dinner afterwards. If it doesn’t look nice I won’t wear it but I’m leaning towards it for some cool pics of it blowing in the wind😊
