Veil Opinions? Show me your veils!

Looking for suggests where to buy a veil from. I fell in love with the one they put on me at David's Bridal but it was over $200!! I'm sorry, but a veil is not worth that much to me. I know a lot of you have talked about buying your veils from Amazon, EBay, or Etsy. I'm just afraid I'll order one...

I know a lot of you have talked about buying your veils from Amazon, EBay, or Etsy. I'm just afraid I'll order one and then not like it once getting it. I hate buying things online because I want to see stuff in person. I'd love to see everyone's veils and where they got them and how much they cost! I'd like a fingertip length veil with some beading/stones on the edges. The one from DB was a two tier veil.

I didn't want a veil originally. My dress shop included this one with my dress. I still don't think I'll wear it down the aisle but it might be nice for pictures and for boudoir pics Smiley smile

They have a similar one to that on Amazon for under $40. You can definitely find a veil for less than $200. I think it's crazy how much bridal salons charge for veils!

@MrsBest2B the second link you posted is the one I ordered! My pic was posted earlier in this thread. I love it and just went to amazon to review it since I hadn't done that yet. I was nervous ordering it since there were zero reviews, but I figured for $25 (and I had credit on my account so technically it was free), it was worth the gamble. I was right. It did have the 2 tiers reversed (the short one was on the bottom), but that was easily fixed by just bending the comb the opposite way. I'm very happy with my purchase and glad that I gambled on my online purchase.

I really wish I had found these forums before spending $200+ on a veil from the bridal shop. If I had to do over, I would definitely order from Etsy or Amazon.

Here is mine... from the amazing seller, not my dress or image: https://www.etsy.com/listing/204004447/1920s-wedding-veil-with-blusher-vintage

I'm planning to order this in elbow length. I just have to wait until my dress arrives so I can see if the colour looks better with the white tulle or the ivory (my dress is gardenia, which is kind of in between).

I love the bow at the back so much!

I got my veil at a bridal consignment shop for $50. I saw the same veil online for $150.

I wore a cathedral length veil, got it from the same shop as my dress. Etsy def has really nice ones for a fraction of the price of big shops though.

My parents paid for mine or I would not have been able to afford it. It's cathedral length from David's bridal. I'm in love with it!

Have you checked listia.com? I get tons of free stuff on there and found a veil for free and as well as brooches for my bridal bouquet. It's worth to check it out !

These are all beautiful veils. This is my inspiration veil. Its very expensive on etsy (over $500) so I'm hoping to find it somewhere else.

For me it wasn't enough until it's too much Smiley smile

I made my veil and I loved it Smiley smile the lace trim has pearls and crystals sewn on so it was very heavy and I had to wear a headpiece because a comb wasn't going to keep it on my head.

I wondered a lot if it was 'too much' and in the end I decided I just didn't care. if you can't go too much on your wedding day, then when can you?

Here is mine. This was before the wedding, but is a good shot of it. My mother made it out of lace. I loved it and wore it all night.

ETA found a better picture from my trial.

On my phone so this is the best pic I have downloaded and it doesn't show the full length, but here's my veil. It was my mom's. It's a cathedral length with pearls hand sewn.

Do you know any family members who might let you borrow their veil? I know my mom was estatic when I asked to use hers! And it meant not spending a ton of money on it.

David's bridal sometimes has better prices online than in the store. There are a few veils and headpieces on sale right now. And like a lot of you already suggested, Amazon and etsy are great to browse for a good deal. You can always buy it online and return it if you aren't happy with the look of the veil that you pick out. Just make sure you read their return policies!

    P.S. Gorgeous veil pictures!!!

Ivory viel with double blusher and bow. My camera takes weird colours of photos though so it looks greyish in the picture.

I ordered my veil on Etsy, and it's great! Contact with me, if you need more information about it.
