Veil Need To Match

Mandi, on January 7, 2020 at 12:54 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
My dress is charcoal.
I'm having zero luck finding a veil to match.
I do have an extra dress we are making sleeves out of... but idk if I can DIY it.Plus a ridiculous Cathedral length veil is more my style. So does it need to match?Would I be better off going white or black?Or just dying my hair a more fun purple color and getting a headband, hairpiece type thing?

What about finding a veil and having it dyed?

This is the dress. The tshirt is a better representation of color.

You might talk to your alterations person. They may well be able to make you a veil that would match.

If you decide to go with one that is not the same color, a black one would be better than a white one. In general, accessories should be the same shade as the dress or darker. For example, with an ivory dress, you could wear champagne shoes but not white ones. The same principle would apply here.

You can look at etsy. I am using StacysBridal to make my veil and maybe she can make you a custom veil with the color you like.

It might be tough to match that gray and I think it would look dirty. I would think an ivory (bright white might look too stark) or black veil would look good. A cathedral veil would probably be ok but I would do sheer and wear it lower on the back of your head.

Can you take the dress to David's to try on some veils for color, length? If you like white/ivory then you could even get one there (although online would be less). Otherwise, consider ordering a sheet black one online? If sheer the black might not seem so black but it would be dramatic.
