Vegan wedding shoes?

Katie, on February 6, 2020 at 6:17 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 9
Hi! I am on a failing search for vegan shoes to wear on the day of my wedding. All of the shoes I like have leather somewhere in them, and all of the vegan ones I find are very plain and boring. Anyone know where to shop for a good selection?

I’m not in the know with the new terminology. So what exactly are vegan shoes? Are you referring to fake leather/pleather shoes? If so, what style and color are you looking for? Pumps, flats, strappy heels? Other?

Pictures of some styles you like would be helpful.

Hi! What I mean is, I’d like shoes with no leather, specifically. Here are two photos of a pairs I like. Open toed, heels (preferable 2/12-3/13), ivory or champagne, some embellishment. Vegan wedding shoes? 1

Most less expensive shoes won’t be real leather. I’d look on Amazon it’s where I found mine, rather than a department store where they’re gonna be better quality. I could look it up to confirm but at $30 I’m positive there’s no real leather in mine lol.

I’ve been on an unending google search, and nothing has come up that isn’t very plain Smiley sad. Thank you for the suggestion though! I guess I’m looking for a specific brand that might not exactly come up in Google.

If you want bling, try Badgley Mischka Jewel. The shoes you showed are Badgley Mischka. Badgley Mischka shoes are made of real leather and usually cost in the $300 range, but their Jewel line uses synthetic materials (ie vegan leather) and are closer to the $100 range and have similar styling.

I would not search specifically for vegan shoes, because that term isn't generally used with luxury merchandise (because vegan leather is PU leather or a synthetic product, which is generally considered inferior to genuine leather) or bridal fashion. "Vegan shoes" are a pretty trendy concept and I think there are probably plenty of synthetic or non-leather shoes out there that just aren't using that term to market those products. Instead, just look for shoes you like and read the materials description to determine whether animal products were used or not. There are a lot of non-leather bridal shoes out there that aren't marketed as vegan but would probably meet vegan standards.

For anyone who might stumble upon this topic and also be having trouble finding vegan wedding shoes, Romi Kantor makes quite a variety, and her team has assured me that even their glues are vegan.
