Using Uber to leave the reception

Michaela , on January 29, 2017 at 6:44 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 15

Has anyone ever just called an uber to pick you up at the reception and take you to your hotel? Our hotel is only 10 minutes from the reception site and we aren't hiring a limo or car for any other part of the day. So it seems like the best route. Any experience with this Or advice? Sorry my picture isn't changed, I don't have a computer. Thanks in advance!

I think uber still offers a way for hosts to prepay and arrange a code for guests to use as well, though I have no experience with it. Could be an alternative to shuttles, though you kinda can't guarantee the quality of a random driver.

Use Lyft, Uber decided to charge a surcharge during the taxi strike at JFK during the refugee protests #deleteuber

    A) uber actually lifted their surcharge .. and thats why people are mad because they feel as thought it undercuts the protesting taxi drivers

    B) uber is offering financial and legal support to all employees who are displaced or effected by the ban.

Educate yourself before you begin commenting on a businesses standing point.

    And.

At the risk of getting flamed, and this is somewhat OT, Lyft has donated 1M to the ACLU to help with refugee/immigration issues. Uber is with team trump.

We would be using Uber for sure if they offered Uber Black in our city. As of right now, I don't want to chance stuffing my dress in a prius. Lol

This doesn't need to become a political debate. OP use whatever service you would like. Nothing wrong with taking an Uber (or whatever other service) from your reception to your hotel. We are driving.

They only have the normal uber. When we went to Atlanta, we have all different services. We came home to CA and zip, nothing. Only the normal, the assist and the handicap
