Using old invites for new save the dates?

Maureen, on July 28, 2020 at 2:03 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15
I received my invites exactly a week before we found out that we needed to postpone due to Covid and FH having ER surgery. I want to use them for new save the dates. They are a post card type invite. However the original date is on the front and trying to figure out how to cover it without being tacky looking. Using old invites for new save the dates? 1

We did the same thing! We crossed off “october 10, 2020” and printed our new date on top. We put a quirky and intimate message on separate paper “scratch that! Change of plans!”

Did you reach out to the vendor? They may replace them for free

There's a black label maker. You can print your new date and tape it over the old one at the bottom.

I wonder if a thick black Sharpie would work? You wouldn't have the obvious texture difference of cardstock vs label. Write the new date on top with a metallic gel pen designed for black paper.

That is a good idea! I tried a sharpie but you could see some of the date through it. However, writing over just 2 of the numbers would probably work best. Thank you?

Try going over it a couple times until it's blacked out

Can you just slice off that bottom line? Then you could print the date elsewhere.
