Ushers for destination wedding?

Amelia, on January 9, 2013 at 1:09 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Hello,

I am getting married on March 20, 2013 on the beach in St.thomas. I wonder what the etiquette concerning ushers for such a wedding would be? I was not going to have any. Everyone is getting buses to the beach together. My mother really wants ushers though so I am torn... Thanks in advance for the help.

Best,

Amelia

Oooh, gorgeous location! I went there when I was in HS. As for ushers, they are nice to have, especially if you have elderly guests that might need a hand. That, and having someone to walk them to their seat can make people feel special. They don't so much help people get to the venue. Their main job is to help people to their suits.

Usually your groomsmen serve as ushers

Oh Amelia, I feel your pain. We have 7 GM and 2 ushers. FH told me last week (yup, as in 2 months before the wedding) that he would like to have ushers to incorporate 2 of his friends in the wedding. So, ushers it is - I did not feel like fighting that battle.

The GM are wearing tan linen pants and light blue shirts with a navy blue tie. The ushers are wearing navy blue linen pants and a light blue shirt.

    Hi Amelia,

If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding, I'd be more than grateful to photograph your wedding day. I offer destination wedding packages for $3,500 (USA) and $5,000 (Overseas). With the investment, you will not have to worry about my accommodations (travel, hotel, or food fees). You will get the pictures in high resolution and edited on a flash drive. A usage license also comes with the package so you can print and use the photos however they like. If you want to know more, you can find my site @ http://ben-nash.com and feel free to email me at ***@********.***.

    Kindest regards,

    -Ben
