Use stamp to address RSVP envelopes?

JuleeM, on May 29, 2015 at 5:39 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

We ordered this return address stamp for our STD and invites. Does anyone see a reason why we wouldn't want to also use it to address our RSVP envelopes? I don't know if if matters that it doesn't have our last names or not. Did anyone else do something similar?

I DIY'd one. It only had our first names and we used it for both the invites and RSVP. Less time consuming and people loved it. I don't think people will notice there's no last name on it, tbh. I plan to use it for everything from here on out. Smiley winking

Go for it! we basically did that for our rsvp address on postcards, but we printed them vs stamp. I've had no issue receiving them in the mail.

It *should* be fine. Postal sorting machines don't like crazy font, but they read from bottom to top, so hopefully they'll just stop once they have the address. I'd just stay on top of your RSVPs, and make sure you follow-up with people soon after the deadline if you don't get one back from them.

We got one similar to yours and used it on our rsvps. So far, no postal problems at all!

I did this too, and ours just had nicknames on it. No issues with our invites that I know of. I think it's a great way to save time while still making your invites look great.

I also bought one very similar for this purpose and then was unable to use it, as my envelopes are gold metallic and the stamp doesn't show up bc the envelope is too dark ; (
