Update: New California wedding reception guidelines posted!

I’m so excited!! My wedding date is June 4!! This is great news. I’m wondering if any additional guidelines will be given for wedding receptions in particular. Such as any limitations on dancing 🤔

Isn't this such a relief? They did say that the state will be adding specific guidelines for things such as masks, distancing, etc within the next two weeks. They also said that counties and venues can add their own guidelines if they feel like it. Hopefully there wont be any dancing limitations. Follow @savecaevents on IG for updates.

I would not get too excited until the County guidelines are released. LA is still not allowing receptions but we will see if that will change. This was released on Friday

Thanks for sharing this information! I contacted my wedding venue which is in LA county. They stated they still can't have wedding receptions. The guidelines you have listed above is for CA but counties can impose stricter rules and LA has.

The document below is for LA county page 2 number 3 "All public and private gathering of any number of people are prohibited"

View Quoted Comment Hey Angela! Those guidelines are the soon to be outdated ones. The state still hasn’t updated the final details in gatherings, just the capacity. There should be a state update with new reception details before the new capacity guidelines take place next week. LA county said they plan on doing what the state does when they update the guidelines. More information is coming out hopefully tomorrow.
