Unity Sand Frame Ideas

Lovely Mrs. B, on December 14, 2017 at 5:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 18

Hey my FH and I are trying to decide what we want to do for a Unity thing in our wedding. We keep coming back to a unity frame. Has anyone done one? If so where did you get the frame and the sand? We would really like to get one that has a place for a picture. Thanks!

I agree. I've bought a few things on Etsy for the wedding. There were too many choices. Lol. Have you looked at the lovelock tree. It's an alternative to the sand ceremony. It's really cool

We did unity mason jars from theweddingoutlet.com and they had some frames too. Our personalized mason jars were $32

FMIL is making us etched mason jars to drink out of during the reception so I don't know if I want to use them during the ceremony too. But I'll check out the site. Thank you!

I'm making my own. I was dead set on a frame for our sand ceremony, but couldn't see spending $60+ on one (I was really looking into the one you posted above). I bought a shadow box from Michaels and am going to caulk the inside where the glass is and everywhere else the sand could possibly leak out. I'm going to have FH put a hole in the top to pour the sand in that we could glue the piece back in after the ceremony is over. Not sure where we're getting the sand from yet since I'm afraid to get it online and the color not look the same.

My good friends got their frame from Hobby Lobby as a shadow box and cut a hole in the top.. I've seen frames at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and every other craft store.. You can also get sands there, depending on your colors. (My friends were gray and glitter.) You could always order off amazon..

We are doing a unity hour glass. It is engraved with our name and wedding date. I purchased it from. Marry me.com which is a sister company to oriental trading.

Definitely Etsy. We didn't find a frame we liked enough so we went with this one.

Mine from hobby lobby is sturdy and thick. It is the same as I have seen everywhere else.
