Hi everyone! Is anyone planning on doing a unity type ceremony? I love the sand unity ceremony and love the idea of having a decoration in my home for years to come as a symbol of our love and reminder of our wedding day. What do you guys think?

We are doing unity in glass. We get glass beads and combine them like a sand ceremony then send it out to have it heated and blown into a vase with the color combination that we added the beads as

I want to do one but I want it to be unique. Our friends did a tying knot ceremony then each anniversary they tie another knot in the rope. But I don't want to copy that obviously. We are meeting with officiant in February so I am going to ask him ideas as to what he's familiar with!

I like the sand ceremony for all of the same reasons as you. We plan to do a sand ceremony with our four children. And we are doing a fisherman knot tying ceremony just the two of us. Smiley shame

I hadn't either til I started searching the company is based out of texas. I loved the idea because we get to do 8 colors. We are allowing my son and our son to do a color each also. I dont like nicknacks so I wanted something I could use. Plus my son loves to get me flowers so it is even more meaningful to me. They have other options also.

We thought about the sand ceremony (we got married on the beach as well) but we didn't like the idea of colored sand hanging around our house for years to come. We decided to do a wine ceremony. He poured red wine (sangria) and I poured white wine (prosecco) into a large glass and we each took a drink. It was perfect for us. We plan on using our glass to enjoy wine on our anniversaries for years to come!

Cheers! Before we mixed them, then we each took a drink after.

We are! It's more for us to renew of vows with, since we are already legally married. Our sand colors are pearl pink and dove gray.
