Unique engagement rings

I dislike diamonds (the industry mostly) but loooove blue sapphires. I also wanted a low-profile bezel setting (no prongs) because I work in biology and wear gloves every day. My partner and I couldn't agree on a ring--he couldn't articulate what he wanted, but he thought everything I wanted was too plain. We ended up finding some ideas we liked and brought them to a local jeweler. I am SO in love with the custom ring we got that I changed my mind and will continue to wear it after the wedding (instead of just a band).

That's one of the reasons we loved the jeweler we found to do my ring. They didn't pressure us into anything we said we didn't want. They did ask us questions and have me look at a bunch of rings to figure out what I wanted, but when I said I wanted a blue sapphire, it was just like, "Sounds good! Here are our sapphires. Which one do you like?"

My ring has no diamonds at all, just my birthstone (emerald), which is exactly what I wanted

ETA: Everyone's loved it, the only comment I got was when I showed it to my mother when we got back home from our weekend getaway in the mountains, (I had already of course told her about the proposal), my mom asked me if it was a promise ring. I told her, "Uh..no, it's an engagement ring..." lol She loved it either way, she was just confused. lol Oh, and I have no idea what cut it is.

My engagement ring was custom made ring designed after The Legend Of Zelda. It has a peridot stone, which stand for prosperity, and blue diamonds. Not the norm but I love it!!

Here is my ring I have seen no one with my ring before. It love it an I love how it almost has the infinity sign in the design.

My ring is pear shaped. I looked for something like it for years. It's exactly what I wanted and I love it. You don't see pears too often. It's nearly impossible to find a matching band though. 2 weeks out and I still don't have one. That's my project for today!

I would be to as long as he had this ring lol I couldn't believe he held on to that card for almost two years and even more shocked when he proposed on Valentines day!!! when I to revealed that I was 4 months pregnant with our first son so blessed!!! I am even more excited that I finally found a band to match!!!

This is the site's picture of my engagement ring (that's actually my ring, not just the same style!) It's made of recycled metal and it has a conflict-free diamond that my fiancé got to choose himself. I'm in love with it!
