Undergarments...help!!

Elizabeth, on January 1, 2020 at 6:50 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
Hi, friends!! I need undergarments for my wedding day, and I'm honestly overwhelmed because I have no idea where to start. I've lost weight so I no longer know my size, but I've never been fitted before so I'm unsure where to go or what to do. Ideally I'd like a pushup bra with clear straps and some sort of shapewear to flatten my tummy a bit. Or, do I have something sewn into my dress? Help a girl out! I'm clueless. I'd love any advice.

Your seamstress will totally help you with what you need the day of.. but I would suggest going to a local store - getting your measurements and trying on different things, style bras that suit you, spank etc

I agree that if you've lost significant weight, you should get a professional bra fitting -- regardless of what you need for your wedding. Most large department stores (e.g., Macy's, Nordstrom, etc.) provide this service for free and a trained consultant will help you find bras that provide the best support for your new size/shape. Once you have good measurements for everyday lingerie, as others have mentioned, your alterations person can help you with what might be your best options to work with your wedding dress. Congrats!

Hey there, Elizabeth. I agree with the PPs. It would be best to visit a local store to get fitted and kitted out to your new body size/shape. You want to ensure the undergarments fit and most importantly are comfortable! Are there any local department or lingerie stores you could visit?
