What are you wanting? Bra? Panties, Tummy tuck?

That's actually a really great question to ask your alterations team.

I went and bought undergarments I didn't need, because my alterations seamstress just built in/tailored the dress to what I needed.

In the end, I wore... underwear. My dress was a corset bodice, the crinoline was part of the design of the dress, and that was all I needed.

Yes, I agree with previous poster. You need to ask the alteration team, seamstress, etc.

I am wearing seamless undies under my shapeware with a strapless bra. My dress is an a-line strapless so I don't have to worry too much about lines showing. I would wait until alterations to buy anything though!

I'm wearing a shapewear - even if you don't need one i'd recommend it just because it'll still help give you that smooth silhouette.

it also will depend on your dress. You might not need a bra if your dress has one built in, or you might need a low back one or a deep plunge bra for it. I asked the bridal shop/seamstress after i chose my dress. You'll want to bring those bra options to your fittings.

I got shapewear with boning in it and i HATE IT - they poke me painfully when i'm sitting so i got new ones without any form of boning in it from amazon.

My dress has a low back to it and a bit of a deep v bustline, and illusion top so i originally purchased a low line strapless bra, but you can still see the braline on the back so i'm not gonna wear it, and again, it pokes me funny when i sit; the side boning bunches up and digs into me uncomfortably.

My dress also has a built in bra to it so i might not need one at all but i am one of those girls who feels uncomfortable without something holding me in so i just bought a stick on, strapless, backless, plunge one that i'll try with my dress, and if that doesn't work then i'm going to stick on a few pasties and depend solely on my dress's built in Smiley smile

I don't think he will care what is under there, so anything will work lol.

First of all, I'm so sorry you don't have your mom to plan with... my heart goes out to you! If you do end up needing shapewear, I highly recommend Honeylove. It's very comfortable and does a very good job at smoothing things out.

I wore a long-line bra and a thong. For what it's worth, I would definitely consult with someone who has seen your dress/knows about the structure of your dress,

I wore a thong and that was it. I had cups sewn into my dress so I didn’t have to mess with a bra.
