Well here it is the day of my e-pics and my planner just quit. So I hired her for mostly month of coordination, but also she was hired for design which started a few weeks ago. So a couple weeks ago I inquired about the start date for our custom monogram and save the dates and was told the start date was Feb 17th and and they would complete 10 days from that. So on the 28th (10th day) I sent a light email basically say "Hey so how's it going with the monogram and STD b/c e-pics are Monday and wanna get those out soon". She replied saying they didn't start as planned, but didn't include when they actually started. Prior to this I hadn't heard a peep from her about this so I emailed back stating that we would actually like to know if dates are going to change from what was originally stated just for our own personal preference and organization.

This morning I get an email stating she is quitting b/c I need to trust her and she doesn't need to let me know everything that goes on along

Hell to the fuck no! Everything has been said already so I guess that's all I can add. Glad she gave you something back and the rest isn't worth small claims over.

@rusticbride I told her that yesterday. It's not YOUR wedding so if I ask about meeting deadlines it's my prerogative. She just kept saying she's used to brides that let her deal with the issues that come up without them having to be contacted....um well I'm not that bride! I definitely agree that she needs classes on dealing with different personalities.

@Mrs.ChanelNewNew That's what I said. I do feel she compensated my back fairly so I won't be fighting for more.

Wow, I had a really weirdly similar situation last night / this morning! I thought maybe I was crazy or something... like I was thinking "wow, am I really that Crazy as F*ck bride that I already managed to drive away a planner. But its almost the same thing you are describing...I stated something I didn't like, and she essentially said I quit.

We talked later in the day and worked it all out, but I will tell you Im nervous about it now, and even more so after reading this! I had NO IDEA this was a common issue! Especially over emailing!!! That's crazy.

Hi Future MrsE, so sorry to hear that!!! I feel your pain I hired my planner last minute, about 2 months before when I started to pack and Let me tell you she was my life saver- I absolutely adore her and she was absolutely sharp, organized and thought ahead to things I wouldn't even have thought of. She covers east/west coast and her fees were surprisingly really low (she charged us $500 for "MONTH-OF" including day-of, so we got a really good value out of her time) Let me know if you need any more insight, message me and I am happy to provide! THeir website is popsandgiggles.com and I worked directly with the owner Susan! GOOD LUCK!!!
