Ugly Flooring in venue

Rebekah, on April 8, 2019 at 7:18 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 11
This is the room that my reception will be in. My colors are burgundy, blush, black and gold. No orange, and the carpet is very orange. Does anyone have any ideas of how I could temporarily cover it up? Do you think it needs to be? I know it won’t be as noticeable with the tables set up, but the thought of it is driving me crazy..
the venue was given to us as a gift, and that is why we are using it.

You do not need to cover the carpeting. It’ll be the last thing you ate thinking about on your wedding day.

I don’t think I would notice it as a guest. I would be too busy eating and dancing!

Agreed, once you have a tables set up and decorations it will be the last thing you look at.. maybe the dance floor can cover up most of it haha Smiley smile

Make a floor plan for your tables, dance floor, etc. See if there are any areas that will really show. If it bothers you, you can lay an inexpensive rug over that area, put a photo booth over that area, etc.

Maybe use up lighting to draw the eyes upwards and creative use of lights?

Personally that would bother me a lot it's not even like it's a neutral it's bright orange. I would fix it you can buy removable wood tiles on wayfair to put over the carpet and maybe you could sell them after? If the venue is free might be worth it to cover that carpet up.

    Here's an example:

Oooo that's a tough one. I personally didn't want a venue with any ugly carpeting cuz it's a pet peeve of mine. I would notice it as a guest just because I am detail oriented, but I wouldn't know how to cost-effectively cover it. Maybe rental companies have faux flooring or something?

Honestly in the grand scheme of things I don't think this is something worth worrying about. The majority if not all of the guests probably won't notice. The cost to cover the carpet once the tables are set up could be spent on something the you or guest would enjoy instead.

No need to waste money trying to covet it. You're looking at the room empty. But once the tables are in and set, it won’t be an issue.

If guests are focused on the ground, then they’re bored and you have bigger issues than the carpet. Lol!!!! So don’t worry.
