Ugly crying...

JaimeLeigh, on August 4, 2016 at 7:23 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 51

I'm a crier. I cry at EVERYTHING. I cry looking at cute puppies. Are there any other super emotional brides out there? If you're already married, how did you deal with this? Did you just have your MUA on standby?! How did you get through your vows?!

I'm sometimes cold as ice but when it comes to weddings I'm a freak show. Not sure how I'll get through my own!

I'm the biggest sap ever, I cried all the time leading up to the wedding, and all through my thank you toast at the rehearsal dinner. During the ceremony I was dry-eyed with a huge smile all day. So you might surprise yourself. BUT I was prepared, and my MOA just did false lashes instead of mascara and waterproof liner, and said I'd be fine if I bawled my eyes out.

I've been trying to numb myself to it by watching wedding videos. I'm a mess. I can't even get through a BAM without bawling!

I cry over everything normally. I cry over commercials. Pretty sure the thing FH says to me the most is "are you crying???"

I'm going to be a WRECK on my wedding day. And I've already been informed my father is also going to be a wreck. So my future MUA is going to need to know her shit.

I thought of not wearing make up due to my sappiness. I once cried at the thought of killing a spider because I didn't want to cause it pain.. I hate spiders

I used to be able to be fine, no crying, through weddings or Engagements, but now that I'm completely immersed in the process, I bawl just listening to songs were debating dancing to, or on you tube watching anything wedding related. I guess I have been bitten by the love bug Smiley smile

I know I will be emotional that whole day. I guess water proof mascara. I just wonder about lipstick like what is everyone doing to keep theirs on?

@JamieLeigh, the false lashes were awesome. (I will post a BAM soon). My eye lashes are blonde so I really can't skip mascara without looking 12, but the lashes were perfect. Oh wait, I did cry during my MOH speech and my makeup still looked fine.

Melissa - LOL! Me too hahaha. I cry if I'm happy, sad, if there's a cute baby, if we drive past a family of ducks and yes, commercials too!

    That is so sweet H&S!

My MUA isn't staying as far as I know! I'm hoping they leave a touch up kit or something? I was worried about lipstick too as well as cry lines in my foundation!

Ok, I am a MAJOR crier. I cry during movies and shows all the time. I cried when he proposed. I cried at my cousin's wedding and teared up at my friend's wedding. I thought FOR SURE I would bawl my eyes out on my own wedding day. I had tissues ready to go and everything but, no tears for me! Even when DH teared up I managed to hold it together. I basically just focused on the happiness of the words we choose to use for the ceremony and vows. I made sure they were meaningful but also sort of light-hearted. I looked into his eyes of course, but I also glanced at the officiant and around at the beach and the ocean around us. All I did was smile Smiley smile You will be just fine!

Every since I had my son I am the biggest bawl baby ever. I cry over everything. I'm not sure how I'll make it through my own wedding but none the less I will and I'll be crying the happiest tears ever.

I'm super emotional and have visions of myself unable to stop crying when I get down the aisle. The minister won't be able to proceed and I'll just be standing up there while everyone awkwardly watches me cry. I have no idea how I'm going to control it. Maybe I'll surprise myself and get so sentimental and worked up the days leading up to the wedding that there will be nothing left for the ceremony. Please oh please!

@BlueHenBride - Oh gosh. Me too! It's really the only thing that I'm concerned about. My dad is a cry baby and as soon as he cries, I know I'll lose it.

Hopefully we'll all be fine. I've been reading about ways to stop yourself from crying (this is how desperate I am). Apparently if you push your tongue into the roof of your mouth and it'll stop the tears, but what would be worse?! Crying, or having this weird look on your face from having your tongue in a weird position!

Can't wait to see your BAM @CO Bride.... and I'm sure I'll cry haha.

    PSA

Most of the time you will look even worse if you try to hold back your tears, so if you feel like crying, just cry! I don't want to hold back my emotions on my wedding day and there's a good chance I will be emotional, but I would rather be teary-eyed and smiling in all my photos rather than making awkward constipated faces and avoiding eye-contact with people all from trying not to cry! Just bring a compact mirror and something to clean up your eye makeup with in case you need it.
