Uber Gift Cards

Hi guys— my fiancé and I have been talking about getting a shuttle bus for our out of town guests staying at the hotel block. We have a large number of out of town guests since my fiancé’s family and friends are not from the area. Since looking into shuttle buses, it’s become a bit stressful for me since a single shuttle bus would not hold all our out of town guests... meaning the shuttle would have to make multiple trips prior to the cocktail hour just to get everyone there, thus some people would be forced to take the later bus and miss part of the party. Plus shuttle buses are way more expensive than I anticipated...

Because of this, I’ve been trying to think of alternatives. I came up with the idea of including an Uber gift card in the hotel welcome bags (1 per room) so that guests could use Uber and have some of the cost be on us. Ive been reading very mixed reviews of Uber Events, so I was hoping to avoid it and figured providing people with gift cards could be an alternative?? Plus it would be significantly cheaper than a shuttle. Has anyone done this before??
