Two Groomsmen Bailed...Wow

FH just informed me that two of his groomsmen will not be able to come to the wedding on account of them booking a cruise that wont be back until the day after the wedding. I am seriously ticked right now! Why would they do something like that? Now FH is down to 2 groomsmen while I still have 4...

FH just informed me that two of his groomsmen will not be able to come to the wedding on account of them booking a cruise that wont be back until the day after the wedding.

I am seriously ticked right now! Why would they do something like that?

Now FH is down to 2 groomsmen while I still have 4 bridesmaids.

I have no idea what to do.

It does suck. And it's hard to ask somebody else because then they fill like a last resort and don't want to do it. I'm pretty sure that we are just going to let 2 girls walk with a guy.

We lost a BM, GM and flowergirl 2 weeks before our wedding but that was entirely on them. It was DH's brother and wife. Because of their behavior, we couldnt handle it and asked them to come as guests, they agreed then completely blew off our wedding. Havent heard from them since and we are VERY glad.

Well I think we got lucky and two of his old friends are wanting to be a part of it. The only problem with this is that he hasn't spoken to either of them in months! And the last time he talked to one of them they didn't end on good terms. But the way I look at it is, good friends can go forever without talking then pick back up like nothing happened.
I hope he lets them be in it, because then with my side and his side we will have our old "group" together. =]
