Lindsey, on December 9, 2017 at 2:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Are there any other two bride couples here? Just looking for tips, ideas, worries, etc to share with each other.

There have been lots of same sex weddings on here! I would put paging Sarah&L in your title and PrettyWitty&Gay in your title!! They both had beautiful weddings and would be happy to share their BAMS with you!

There are many SS couples here, both brides and grooms. No worries; just find the best vendors you can and let them do their magic for you.

Check out the blog, "www.onabicyclebuiltfortwo.com" which features primarily two-bride weddings!

We are in the early stages of planning so far. Only have checked out a few venues. Do you guys plan to have small or large wedding? Are you families supportive?

Two brides over here! My family is very supportive, her family far less so. We aren't even sure if they're coming. We've run into a few fun hurdles being from an area that isn't as LGBT+ friendly as where I grew up (SoCal), but we've had fun throughout the process and are really excited for our wedding that's going to have our own flair to it! I've written a bit about my experiences thus far on another thread but of course can't think of anything now. I'll keep you updated the more I remember, it's been a long day.

I have two friends who married, both families were totally accepting. Discussions were more like the usual we see here, but with a twist. Who gets to be the MOB? My friends found a venue for the ceremony with two aisles, each walked up the same time with both of their parents.

We are from the south and so far venues have been welcoming. We are looking at doing a two aisle set up as well. I've seen a lot of opinions about having a friend to preform the ceremony but we are looking at having a friend do it.

We've really only had one or two vendors not respond to us at all though they're usual response rate is really fast. Which means they either aren't comfortable with it (we ask upfront and directly, though making it clear that that's their prerogative and we just want to know either way) or they just happened to not get our message. We're doing a T shaped aisle so that we'll both walk down the top of the T at the same time and then my dad will escort my mom down the rest of the aisle and same with her family (whoever ends up walking her down the aisle). Then we'll follow walking down the aisle together. We are going to have someone who is ordained and done a few weddings but works in my fiancees lab do the officiating so we know he's comfortable with it... Everything else has been pretty straight forward. There's some great two bride decor available too and we've found some gorgeous cake toppers on etsy that we're excited about!
