Twilight wedding

K & B, on July 1, 2011 at 10:48 AM Posted in Planning 0 25

So yes, I am a Twilight fan. So much so that I want my wedding to be like Bella & Edwards wedding in Breaking Dawn! I have read the book over and over and have written down everything I can to help with my planning and have searched for as much as possible. Right now the project I'm on is finding a florist that can meet my needs. I want the flowers to be roses, freesia, lilac, and orange blossoms. The florists I have talked to can handle all but the orange blossoms within my budget. So I'm looking here to see if maybe someone has some advice. I'm also open to anything Twilight wedding themed you might like to share.

Well the good news it you aren't getting married until after the movie comes out. So maybe just hold out until then,.. Are your colors going to be black, white and red?

I've read the book, but can't remember how the wedding looked.... But Future Mrs Wells has a point about waiting until the movie comes out because there is a difference between having a wedding as close to Edward and Bella's as you can get AND then just having a twilight themed wedding in general.

If it was just a twilight themed wedding then we could help you out with that, but to actually find ideas to mock theirs when nobody has seen it yet is a little hard. Perhaps you could just work on other things for now, the movie comes out November 18th.. I know it would suck to wait, but it would be easier to help you with ideas.

I was able to find a hair piece (but just because it said it was hers, doesn't mean it actually was) and also the invitation which the envelop was sealed with a wax stamp in red which would be easy to find.

This is the song that will be playing when my bridal party enters. I'm not a Twilight fan, but I guess it's Bella's? lol

Are you wanting to match what is in the movie, or what is in the book? The wedding was not outside in the book, was it? I thought it was in/at the Cullens house.

If you really want it to be spot on, you should be getting married 6 weeks from tomorrow...

I think the most important thing for a twilight inspired wedding is lots of flowers...

I love twilight but my wedding is peacock themed haha. However when me and FH were dating I was obsessed with it, my ringtone for FH when he called was Bella's Lullaby (the Yiruma version) and our song at the time was Flightless Bird, American Mouth which Edward & Bella danced to at the end of the first movie. My bridal party is walking down to the piano accompaniment of Flightless Bird, and I'm coming in to Bella's Lullaby. I think you should use Flightless Bird, American Mouth or Claire De Lune as your first dance since those are the two dances Edward and Bella have danced to. Smiley smile AND you should totally rent a "stupid, shiny volvo" to ride to the ceremony and reception in Smiley winking. And could you rent some wolves for the day? You gotta have some Jacob flavor in there too somewhere haha.

Well as far as the orange blossoms go how about having all the other flowers be fresh and the orange blossoms be real/natural touch to fit into your budget.

Check out the official movie trailer pt 1 on youtube tht was aired at the MTV movie awards. They show really good pics of the wedding. The hair piece that Kristina posted is what was in the trailer.

Good theme. Flowers will be the key I think, but as everyone has said maybe wait for the film.

I can't wait for the movie, and get some inspiration from it Smiley smile

You may find the orange flowers in silk and that will cut the cost.

Thank you all so much for your help! I went out of state for the weekend so this is the first I am able to get back on. I did see the preview on MTV the night it was first aired and Kristina those pictures are from the movie. While I might use the invitation as inspiration, I will not use the hair piece from the movie. I am wanting to follow the book more than the movie and in the book, Bella had TWO hair clips made with sapphires (my mother is having some made for me with sapphires since that is our children's birthstone). I do not want to go with the "Twilight theme" and use the apple, red, etc. I am wanting to have my wedding more "like Bella & Edwards". I tease my DH all the time telling him I will have someone throw glitter on him so he can be my Edward LOL! I know I will not create a spot on replica wedding, hell I know I won't even come close, but I want to pull some things from that wedding since it is such a part of who I am. Thank you ladies who found some orange blossoms, I will be checking into them Smiley smile
