Tungsten wedding bands!?!

My husband has one

Pros: never scratches

Less expensive

Comes in different colors and shades

Will crack off under pressure, prevents crush injuries

Cons:

Cannot be resized. Our jeweler has a lifetime guarantee that if he needs a new size, they will exchange it for free. It would be a different ring though.

If it cracks, it will break. Cannot be put back together, must be replaced.

Yes they look really nice and being inexpensive is definitely a plus! He got sized for a gold band so would that be the same size for the tungsten or do they run bigger or smaller since they can't be resized!?!

I've picked 3 for his preference.. 2 different style/band width tungsten rings that are very good quality from Walmart ($10/each) and then a traditional 10k white gold band from sears (all satin finish).

He really loves the tungsten style satin finish with high polished edges, but the same style in 10k white gold costs $600!

No way we're spending more on his band than mine.. lol

Exactly what MrsB said. FH really liked the look, so that's what he got.

They're cheap, so replacing it if it needs to be replaced isn't a big deal except for sentimental reasons, and FH isn't overly sentimental

My FH has one and it's black and he loved that ring the most out of all the ones he tried on at the store and it was cheaper then my wedding band for sure

FH picked one out and we actually like that it'll break rather than bend. If he gets it caught on something, there's less chance of it cutting off his finger (see Jimmy Fallon's accident).

FH chose a Tungsten band. Second everything Mrs. B said. We didn't get the lifetime replacement, but we still thought it a good choice. Bottom line he liked it and he'll be wearing it so that's what we went with!

I got tungsten and custom made this one

Hubby got a tungsten band and he loves it. It was super cheap so if need be we can eventually replace it. With his line of work we didn't want something super expensive that would get dirty and scratched up.

If you end up buying tungsten or any ring for your fh, check groupon first. We found the $300 ring we liked for a whole lot less. It came in and was the same thing.

FH wants tungsten because of the fact that it won't crush into his hand if it ever gets smashed at work, it will break, possibly saving his finger. That was the only convincing I needed for him to get tungsten.
