My fiance and I want to get married on our anniversary date (Nov 1st) and we chose 2016. Unfortunately, it is a Tuesday. However, someone warned us that half of the guests might not show up because it is a weekday morning and people might not want to take the day off of work, they have kids (we are not inviting kids), and it's just inconvenient.

I'm thinking - those who care about us will be there, right? Then again, if I'm inviting 100, I don't want to have a wedding with just 50 of those people.

Thoughts?

Congratulations! I personally don't think it's that big of a deal.. I'm getting married on November 8, 2016 which happens to be a Tuesday as well! If it's important enough to the person, they will find a way to make it. The ones who show up will be the ones who truly care about spending your special day with you. It is not impossible.. I decided on sending the save the dates 6 months before so people have more than enough time to put it in their schedule.. Also, having your ceremony start in the early afternoon will make it so people can stay a little longer and still go home at a reasonable time and won't have to request the next day off.
I chose to not have a big fancy wedding so we are having a bachelor/bachelorette party with family and friends the weekend right before and skipping on the rehearsal dinner.. There are so many ways to make it work! Hope this helped!
