Trying to put together casual reception outfit

Hi there Christine!! First off, I love your sweater. It looks so cozy.

I think knee high boots and some jeans would look great with the sweater. As for a shirt, the pattern of the sweater makes me want to think you should keep it simple and solid. I was thinking something orange, goldenrod, or a deep red/burgundy, like these. (I know these are dresses, but I was going for the color.)

I really like the burgundy idea! That is actually one of the colors in the wedding

It is a cute sweater, but I don't think I would wear jeans, even if it is casual. You can find a nice casual ivory dress to wear with that easily. Or even black or burgundy if you don't want to wear white.

Wear a dress! Ivory or black or burgundy or teal/green (like the stripe). You still should dress nice, you are the guests of honor.
