Trying to find a version of "You Are my Sunshine"

Pretty sure this was in a movie- google the song and soundtracks!

Check Spotify.... They have a lot of different artist who sing that song.

I have been searching YouTube and 8tracks and google for hours lol this is becoming a bit of a frustrating obsession!

I know I heard it first on an 8tracks playlist 4-5 years ago, but can't seem to find it and the number of times you can listen to playlists is limited.

I couldn't remember. I just knew it wasn't happy. Oh. The velveteen rapey sounding rabbit (the stick inside) quote with 'becoming human' that's the one about the being sick.

I think ring around the rosie is about small pox or something like that.

Yeah, it's a very depressing song. There's a big misconception about it for so long with the sugar coated version that we all sang as a kid that people don't realize what it's really about.

ETA: Britini, I think I've heard the version you might be talking about on Pandora. Yeah, try looking on YouTube or Spotify for 'you are my sunshine.' However, I think that same version still has the "So I hung my head and cried" verse in it.

I know this is years too late but for anyone looking for this same thing currently, there's a beautiful version by "The Hound + The Fox" that changes the lyrics to be a happy version opposed to the classic "sad" version.
