trying hair extensions for the first time for the wedding day

Are you talking about clip ins, or actual installed extensions?

I'm a firm believer that you should try everything out well in advance of any important events, so you should try out even clip ins for a day to make sure they don't pull or poke or pinch.

If you're talking about full on semi-permanent extensions, DEFINITELY get those done before hand in case you hate how they feel or they make your hair fall out or something crazy like that.

Following! I'm considering this because my hair has no volume.

Yes I used clip ins for the first time and I was obsessed with them. I totally would have regretted not using them

Team extensions!!! I wore them, and I LOVED the length and volume! There's so much you can do with it and it made me feel like a princess!!!

@EM yes I would most likely do the clips ins. I don't know much about full or semi permanent extensions, but if that was recommended more then I would love to check that out! But yes whatever I do, I would make sure to try it or do it before the big day. Thanks!

I've talked to my hair person about doing clip in extensions and we are doing a trial run beforehand, it is kinda scary because of how expensive it is. But she is ordering them specifically to not only match the texture of my hair but the balayage she has done in my hair. We aren't ordering until I know what I want for sure though. But since I am leaving for Thailand the day after the wedding we decided clip in would be my best option. If you have a hair person you trust I'd advise talking to them about it. It really helped me settle any nerves I had about it

I use tape on extension regularly and I love them! I say go for it!

I got clip in extensions from Luxy Hair and am going to use them when I do my hair trial as well. That's going to be the morning of my Bridal shower so I'll get a feel for how it looks and feels.

I bought some to use for my wedding to add length! I think I am doing a side pony style so I wanted some more length. I got Luxy Extensions and I love them. They match perfectly and I'm so excited to see how they look at my trial!

One of my co-workers wore them recently for her son's wedding. They looked great and enabled her hair to hold a curl. She has very soft, fine hair and they helped with volume and structure.

I got Dreamcatchers extensions put in to use for mine and I'm so happy I went for it. My hair stylist did such a great job matching my hair type and color to what I needed, and blended them perfectly. My hair and makeup artist for my DW didn't even realize it wasn't my real hair at first when I went for my trial!

They're pretty pricey, but I had wanted some forever and decided that my wedding was a good excuse to go for it. And the fact that they'll last a really long time and can be taken in and out repeatedly without damaging them sold me.

I have 2 friends who used hair extensions for their wedding day! You couldn't even tell!

Make sure your hair person knows how to put extensions in before styling your hair.

My hair is really long, almost to my belt line, but I'm using extensions for added volume. I've never worn them before but my stylist wants me to get clip ins to achieve the look I'm going for.

The first time I wore extensions was at my trial but the only tine I have worn them for any length of time was my wedding day.

Make sure you get human hair and be sure to tell the stylist if they are uncomfortable going in so they can adjust. If it pokes or pulls gping in it will only be worse as you wear them.

I actually wore my clip in to sleep in that night they were pretty comfortable and I was too tired/lazy to take them out at 1am

I have considered them because of how thin my hair is but I am not sure about spending the extra money and what clip in's are best. Are there any in particular that any of you can recommend?

I'm using clip in hair extensions for the first for my wedding. My stylist suggested them for exactly your reasonings; length and volume. Since she's putting them in, I feel comfortable using them. I've tried to put them in myself and failed miserably!! lol I would definitely suggest them but would also say to do a trial run and make sure your stylist can put them in for you. Last thing you'd want is a track showing in your pictures!!
