True white wedding vs. Ivory

I think it looks beautiful in both colors. Is it a super white-white, or a soft white? cause that can make a difference too. I think the white will bring out the tan/olive tone you said your skin has. It'll also make your hair stand out a lot, so maybe consider doing more of an elaborate hairstyle since eyes will likely be drawn there. I don't think you made a mistake, it's a beautiful dress and it is a concern that ivory, and even softer whites can look "dirty" if everything else around it is a true white-white. I think you'll love gorgeous in your dress on your wedding day. I actually like it better in white.

Thanks Erin! It is a true bright white. I think it will be OK just so nervous because I obviously cannot see the dress in that color. Next to each other I also think I like the white better, and don’t feel like I have to worry about the tropical colors being compromised. Just needed someone to tell me it’s gonna be OK

It will be fine. It's cool that your venue is white but it will be fine especially with darker skin. Those of us with lighter skin wont always look good in white/white.

I think that the color will be fine, I would just work with your photographer to minimize the blue light reflection from the dress. With the camera technology these days, bright white dresses can give off a sort of blue hue in photos. If you are concerned about that being a possibility I would definitely touch base with them and discuss possible ways to mitigate the camera lighting. You will look beautiful either way!

It’s so easy to notice the color of a venue when it’s empty. Once it’s full of people and decorated, it won’t seem so white. But either way your dress is beautiful and will be perfect. I love the bright colors you chose!

I love your dress in white!! Mine is bright white as well, and I love it! I think the white will look better with your venue as well. 😊
