Haven't started planning reception yet or talked about a budget but I'm sure I'll go over it

I haven't yet...but I know me so I am quite sure I will be! But my future husband knows how I am and knows my spending habits so I am quite sure he expects me to be!

So true. We set a budget of 16k at the start, and we're ending around 27k not including the honeymoon. We tried really hard to keep costs down initially, which is how we ended up with a Sunday wedding. All the little things started to add up quick though. We also added a few big things we hadn't planned for. It's not more than we can afford, but certainly more than I thought we'd be spending.

True- My original wedding venue had a construction accident and closed down. They set us up with another. It is not as beautiful as the first. Plus I had to pay extra for an arch and officiant.

False I am 8% under and making final guest cuts could shave off another 4% of my total.

I can neither confirm nor deny As of right now we're on track but we still wanted to hold something for friends and family if people are willing to join us in Hawaii to celebrate. If we end up doing that then yes, we might be over budget depending on how many people actually show up.

False, I don't have an unlimited budget so I'm going to be staying on top of that like a mother hen.

False, my budget has fluctuated so much, as I decided what I really wanted. But we decided on a day time wedding and are doing well around 5k.

False. We set a really rough budget so far, but we don't want to spend more than we can actually afford and would love to make that money back to save for a house.
