Traditional or Destination Wedding?

Selyna, on June 12, 2019 at 9:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
My fiance and I are trying to decide if we want to do a more traditional wedding or a destination wedding. We have 3 small kids, our wedding party has children, and family of course there are more small children.

What would you all recommend when when trying to plan a DW with small children?

Any recommendations on resorts that offer baby sitting included in their packages?

Have you narrowed it down to location?? We are doing a DW and even though most of my guests don’t have children I will still state that no children are allowed. I’m only allowing 3, which 2 are my FH bother and nephew and the other one is my bff’s 3yr old baby.... but that is it, no more kids...

We are thinking either Sandals St. Lucia or Mexico. We thought it would be great to make it sort of into a family event with children welcome and being able to spend time alone without them.

Oh ok if you don’t mind kids then it’s a different story.. we are doing ours in Cancún.. a lot of resorts do charge for kids beginning at a certain age, mine (Finest Playa Mujeres) charges for kids from 4-12 at half the price for the wedding package... just keep in mind your budget.. we have a total of 60 guest as of right now and we are looking at about 12K. I am not splurging on things thou. My dress will be $500 tops, not adding additional decorations and so on. My resort also offered a kids club so parents can drop them off from 9-10 so I’m sure a lot of resorts have that. If you have any specifics ask awaySmiley winking

With so many kids in and attending your wedding, I’d say stay close to home. Too much for families with kids and if one gets sick an entire family might opt not to go.
