Toupee tape for wedding dress???

Hi ladies!! So i have a strapless wedding dress with a corset back that has been altered already. But no matter how tight i lace it up, i keep pulling up the dress...i dont think it is actually sliding down..but cant stop pulling at it. I heard that some people use toupee tape as extra security? Has anyone done this? And where exactly on my body or dress do i place the tape??

I wore my strapless dress twice, and on the second wearing it would not stay up. I had double sided fashion tape in my emergency kit and we plastered that thing to me! I'd at least place the tape around the top of the neckline of the dress, but if it is an emergency like mine just slap it on everywhere, hehe. Has someone from your alterations place or bridal shop shown someone how to properly lace the corset for you? It might feel like it is falling off because it isn't being placed or laced properly

That is why I ordered a gown with straps because of the potential for wardrobe malfunctions.

When I went for my last fitting the girl tied my corset and it felt like it was falling down. The seamstress came in and told me to hold it at the top on the sides and pull it to the back. This allowed her to tighten it around my chest without it feeling tighter. No more falling down.
