Too much Makeup??? (Pics)

I don't think its too much, but it depends on what you normally wear? I mean if you add your dress and fancy hair to the mix, I think it will fit perfectly... But I think its what is comfortable for you and how much you want to wear!

No. Wedding makeup up close looks way too much, IMO. That's how mine was. But the photos came out great. This is for the engagement session. I think for the camera, the makeup has to be a bit heavier?

Honestly, I think it's too much. I looked at regular photos of you, and I like the ones of you at a wedding I think, in a super cute tangerine dress. That makeup is perfect. I can actually see your eyes. In the photos above, your brows look a lot darker than normal photos. And the eye makeup is so dark I can't see your eyes. You also look a lot younger. Don't get me wrong, you look fabulous. But after looking at other pics of you, I don't think you look like a better more polished version of you.

I understand the need for heavier makeup to photgraph better, but I think it should still look like you. I see a very pretty girl in the photo above, I just don't see the same pretty girl as I do on your page.
Maybe take in a few pics of you that you really like the way you looked and see if she can recreate that, but slightly heavier and more long lasting.

Maybe its just the lighting, but I do feel like we lose your eyes with the amount of eye makeup. maybe just have her down that down a bit?

I think you should ask the MUA to tone it down just a hair. I love dark and dramatic eyes, but I think there's a little too much blush.

Maru - you will look beautiful no matter what they do to you but I agree with Mellojean .. I think maybe its the colors they used on you , maybe not but I can tell you that I had the same reaction when I got mine done I felt like a clown , and my fiance didn't like it.. he said you do a much better job yourself so we are going to do one more trail using colors i'm used to using and see how it goes if it doesn't come out better I will either change MUA or DIY..

@BlueDaisy: yes lighting is a big thing. I will try another artist and see what she comes up with. But yes I can of see that in my eyes too.

I think the make-up may be a bit much because the eyes should pop, and it seems as though the artist has your brows popping and your eye make up all running together. I dont know if you're doing this already, but I assure you, you will be very happy you did. Use fake eyelashes The eye make up loses your lashes, which are sexxxy in pics and reality.

I don't think it looks like too much at all, but if you're at all concerned, perhaps try a slightly paler shade of blush & lipstick?

Although personally I wouldn't change a thing.

Its great to hear your feedback. My sisters liked it, FH did not at all lol...but I kind of did. So I guess I will try other looks and see if we can bring it down just a bit. :-)

If you want to play with it a bit You should try the makeup counters .. its alot cheaper than the trial price with a MUA and if you really like it - you can ask your MUA to copy it.. they usually give you a diagram of a face with the the colors smudged on them so you can see which color goes where...
