FH and I were discussing when we would want our wedding, and we decided that we wanted it fairly early in the day. Is ten in the morning too early to start the ceremony? How about ten thirty? Our wedding will be at 11 AM, but we're having a very small, simple ceremony and I may just wear a suit and not a wedding dress. The advantage is that we're saving a TON of money on the reception (the restaurant came down about 30% compared to a dinner) and we'll be able to arrive and depart in daylight. I would also be worried about having enough time to get ready, but I get up at 5:30 on weekdays anyway...just make sure your vendors are available early.

I guess I don't need to answer this question. In Belgium the wedding usually starts in the morning. We have to get married first before the courthouse which will be 10.30 am at 11.30 we will marry in the church. Finishes at 12.30PM so we'll be in the venue from 13.00 PM until 14.00 PM to eat, sith close family. They stay there to talk and enjoy appetizers. We do photo's with close family in the mean time. So we've got a lot of time! At 18PM reception venue is availiable till 5AM so tome enough to party!

I think it may be a little earlier. You can begin your reception at 11:30 in the morning. You should really consider whether it is convenient for your guests.
