To Honeymoon Big or Not

We can't decide probably somewhere closer that we can drive to. I think we are going to rent a cabin somewhere that is nice and secluded but also close enough to stores and attractions! I was thinking Gatlinburg, TN but my boss just went there for a wedding last week (which is around the time we will be honeymooning next year) and said it was SUPER busy and touristy so I'm not sure. I'd also like to go somewhere west towards the mountains - just depends on what we can find deals on. We plan to really start looking and committing after the holidays!

We moved our wedding date up so for financial reasons we are doing a cruise the week after the wedding and then a trip to South Korea and Japan (our original plan) later in the year.

We're doing a bigger honeymoon to Hawaii, but waiting to go for when it's a little cheaper. We're getting married in July, but honeymooning in September (it's technically the start of their off season). If you guys don't mind waiting to honeymoon, you could try to go when it's Jamacia's off season and maybe it'll be a little cheaper?

I just looked up going from LAX to Jamaica, and found a bundle deal for 2 people for $3,000. This would include round trip flight, a week stay at a resort, and it’s all inclusive!
