To do wedding party dance or not?

AChickyLaLa, on September 27, 2016 at 12:29 AM Posted in Planning 0 12

So FH and I are busy trying to think of songs for all the traditional stuffs... I asked the FB for ideas for the bridal party dance and someone suggested not doing one. Makes sense. Most people are there to see and celebrate with us, and she added who wants to watch strangers awkwardly dance?! Truth. Half of our wedding party is married, however.

So, are you doing the traditional wedding party dance, or not?

I've never heard of a wedding party dance, so no, I'm not doing it.

We did not, I did not feel right forcing our wedding party to dance together.

My mom suggested it one time and I shot it down! It's a bit much, lol

Every wedding I have been in has done them. However, I am not. I was always that person that didn't want to dance with some I don't know awkwardly as people watched. Just werid. Instead I will do bridal party announcement.

It's so awkward. I went to a wedding where the bridal party danced to Uptown Funk when they first got to the reception. They were introduced and all akwardly swayed and clapped until the end of the song. And keep in mind that that song is like 1 million minutes long... I felt so bad for them Smiley sad

I would suggest you to dance, as it would definietly add charm to the special moment.

I've heard of flash mob bridal party dances but the only dance we are doing is first dance as husband and wife

UO, but we're most likely doing one. It will be short, participation will be optional, and the choreo will be simple. 2 of the people in the bridal party are a married couple and they did one at theirs that was a big hit. They didn't force anyone to join and they had a fun rehearsal the night before where everybody shared pizza and beer.
