Tips on getting around in wedding day

You can have a bustle added to it or yes, you will have to lift it up and carry it when you walk.

Mine was a ballgown and very heavy. I just lifted mine up and carried it when I moved. I also changed into a different dress for the reception so it wasn't worth getting a bustle for mine.

Prior to when she was bustled just before the reception, daughter lifted the front of her dress and a BM carried her train, that usually left another BM carrying daughter's bouquet. It was actually kind of funny to watch them try to move around the venue for different photos. There was a point where daughter was someplace on her own, and had to turn around AND get out of the way of closing door -- she just hiked everything up and kind of jumped and twirled at the same time. The videographers caught it and it was adorable. She looked like a big kid playing hopscotch or something, but in a ballgown wedding dress! (She and SIL also had to kind of figure out how to get her skirt out of the way so he could move in close to her in photos -- it took a little practice to figure it out.) Moving around is definitely something you should practice ahead of time.
