Tips for tanning before wedding

Hithere, on April 6, 2021 at 9:55 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 9
Our wedding is in September and I’m looking for tips to avoid getting horrible tan lines during the summer, I love being outside and I feel like it’s inevitable that I am going to end up with some sort of tan lines lol. I also don’t want to be super pale (which I’m naturally super pale) and would like some color for the wedding but I’m scared a spray tan might rub off on to my dress. Should I just use a tanning bed or are there other alternatives and safer ways to getting some color for the wedding without tan lines?

Thank you!

Tanning beds are a lot safer now days than they used to be! I'm getting married next month and I've been going once a week since February to make sure I don't have tan lines after we went on vacation in Florida. I will say that after 3 times tanning I didn't have tan lines anymore and now I'm just keeping up with my color. Spray tanning is also a good choice, but I personally don't care for how quickly those can rub off. If you are to get a spray tan though try getting a couple of them throughout the summer and see what color you like on your skin. Hope this helps!Smiley smile

Just curious about this because I would prefer a tanning bed if it is safer, but what have they done to make them safer?

I have a friend who works at a tanning studio and the way she explained it is how they’ve changed the uv bulbs over time. It’s still not 100% healthy, but it’s safer in moderation than how it used to be. Plus a lot of studios offer red light therapy as well and that helps with sun spots and healing your body!

I'm also getting married this September and am in the same pickle! I live at the beach and lake during the summer, so avoiding tan line will be so hard! I do use the tanning bed now, and probably will try to continue into the summer so I don't get any kind of harsh lines. I'll also absolutely get spray tanned prior to the wedding! I a million times recommend that!

I would get a practice spray a few months out so you know you like it, of course! But it will definitely help with covering lines and imperfections on wedding day!

I have this fear too! I'm getting married in June but I'm taking a girls trip to Charleston in a month. Stocking up on SPF 100 haha. My dress is backless, so I'm going to be as careful as I can!

I used to lay in the tanning bed, but I've been using the Jergens Natural Glow (with firming) moisturizer and I love the results!
