Tips for keeping a strapless wedding gown from falling down

Brittany, on June 5, 2021 at 8:28 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Although I got my wedding dress alterations done, I’m pretty small chested and am worried that my dress will keep slipping down all day!! Any recommendations??

Maybe you could use double sided fabric tape that you can use on your body. You could tape the fabric to where you want it to stay.

I would get a built in corset that you can tighten! This was a huge issue for me, my dress fit perfect when I tried it on 2 weeks before the wedding and then I must’ve lost weight during those 2 weeks because when we zipped it up on the morning of the wedding, it fell right back down. It was a disaster lol. Luckily it fit a bit better once i ate some, but the whole ceremony I was pinning my arms to my side desperately holding it up!

If the dress is still slipping off, then the alterations are not complete. Get boning added to the dress (not sure if that will help) or tape.

I agree with Richaelyn - double sided fabric tape works. I used it on my wedding dress which had very thin straps, but I wanted my dress to lay against my boobs a certain way without moving so I ordered the tape from Amazon. It worked perfectly and lasted all day until I took my dress off. The tape also came in handy with my real garter too. Lol!
