Tipping vendors through all inclusive wedding planner?

Amanda, on February 18, 2022 at 10:42 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

Hey y'all!!

I hired a wedding planner that provides their own vendors. They are only handling the ceremony since we aren't doing much of a reception. Do I need to set aside money to tip the vendors for the ceremony, or how do I go about getting it to them if I do? I'm just not sure what the expectations are here.

Thanks!

Hmm I guess it depends what the vendors are for a ceremony-only wedding? Photographer? Musician? I would wait until after the wedding, assess how you felt about their services and decide if you’d like to provide a tip. If so, I’d simply ask your planning for their individual contact info and go from there.

The vendors I know they will be using our a videographer, photographer, the baker who made the cake, and the officiant. They are only providing the PA system, and I’m providing my phone to play the music. they are providing all the decorations and chairs set up and breakdown.
