Tipping etiquette for Day of Coordinator

What a great question! I am wondering, too, as I am in the same situation.

I did price out some local DOC and they all roughly start at 1K for the day. 20% of that would be $200.

I guess in the end it depends on if she/he is worth that tip. I generally tip 20%+ for exceptional service.

Daughter's wedding at a fairly inclusive venue included the event coordinator (salaried employee), who was absolutely fabulous for the 18 months daughter was planning her wedding and oversaw every detail, and a bridal attendant (an hourly employee) whose job was basically to follow daughter around all day of the wedding and make sure she never wanted for anything. We tipped the coordinator $200 (I am absolutely certain she didn't expect anything, but from the minute we met her, she was a huge factor in daughter's choice of that venue and she was amazing in every possible way), and we tipped the bridal attendant $100 (we were onsite at the venue for 9+ hours).

Hey there, Kristen! In your contract, does it state how much the fee is for the day of coordinator? Is the cost itemized and is this something you can see? If so, you could tip as a percentage of this based like you would any other service you're happy with!
