Tip vendors... day of or after wedding?

Personally I would say have everything settled on the day. You don't want to have to be chasing down vendors after your wedding is over. Typically someone in the wedding party is trusted with delivering the tips just so you don't have to worry about it on the day.

I'm planning on sending tips post ceremony with our thank you cards. Mostly because how am I supposed to evaluate how well to tip them until after the service is preformed? I'm going to see how they do and then send them either nice gifts or money. The only exception is the waitstaff, because I don't know if they would receive tips sent through the vendor

Hey Rebecca!! I would say that it might be easiest to settle this the day of your wedding so that you don’t have to chase down vendors after you have finished working with them. You could ask someone in your bridal party to take charge of this, as long as you give them clearly labeled envelopes stating who each is for.

I had all of my thank you cards and tips ready the day of the wedding. One of my friends took responsibility and as vendors completed their job they were given their tip provided their were no major issues. I did actually hold a tip from a vendor because of the poor job they did.
