Tiny wedding venues in Colorado?

Karen, on June 6, 2018 at 3:12 PM Posted in Colorado Planning 0 6

My fiancee and I are recently engaged and just beginning to think about planning our wedding. One of the options we are considering is a tiny wedding... 10 people if we do immediate family only, up to 20 if we include closest friends. Can anyone recommend a venue that handles those types of intimate events well? We'd love somewhere that focuses on nature, and a beautiful, peaceful event that's truly inclusive for the few attendees -- includes dinner (or has options nearby), and a lovely place to hang out and have a tiny dance party. Especially with so few people, I wouldn't want the ceremony to end and then just be like "now what?"

For context, we live near Golden and are willing to travel a couple hours in any direction.

I would search for elopement locations in Colorado, some people still consider a small wedding an elopement and have great suggestions!

Hi Karen! Welcome to the WeddingWire Community! Smiley ring Have you tried searching our Venue's Section? I would begin there! Here is a list of small, garden venues near Gordon:

You can filter the results further on the left-hand side by availability, size, type, and setting. I hope you're able to find something! Good luck!

We're getting married at Sapphire Point in Dillon (max 35 people on the overlook) and staying in Breckenridge. We got an elopement package (max 30 people) through a great planner and it's been very easy! Sapphire Point is in a national park/forest so I did have to get a permit for that on top of the elopement package price but it was only $120 or so.

We're having dinner at The Hearthstone in Breckenridge afterwards. We were able to pick a limited menu (with per person cost) and have a private room.

We are getting married in Glenwood Springs at the sunlight bed and breakfast. It is a seriously intimate location on a mountain away from people. They just built a small bridge over the stream that we are getting married on. Our wedding will have 40 people max with RSVP. We have the entire b&b for 24 hours and it includes breakfast the next day. We stayed there on a grpupon last summer and fell in love. They are doing all of our food and the hospitality is amazing. Check them out! The owners name is Jason

I'm planning on getting married at Sapphire Point too! Which elopement company are you using? I've been trying to decide if I want to use an elopement company or not, is it easier planning wise? I already have our photographer, but not sure of where we will be staying or where to have our dinner afterwards. (I literally just settled on Sapphire yesterday)

We went through Custom Weddings of Colorado. We live in MN and didn't have time/vacation days to go out there for any of the planning so a planner was a must for us. I did everything by email or phone with either the planner or for dinner I worked directly with their event coordinator (the planner recommended Hearthstone though and it was super easy for our DOC to deal with them the day of). They were great as far as making recommendations for things outside of the package. They helped set up our group at the Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge and Breckenridge Hair Company for my HMUA.
