Timeline!!!!

Omg HELP!!!
Soooo.... somebody please tell when the garter toss and bouquet toss is?! When do we do special dances? (Not first dance or Father Daughter dance) I’m talking about like of my bridal party wanted to do a dance (which they aren’t because they are rhythmically challenged as a whole)... but if they were when does this happen?!

And please don’t say get a wedding planner because it’s an unnecessary expensive when everything else has been planned and taken care of! Lol

Get dances out of the way during dinner. Garter/bouquet tosses at the end of the night.

Whenever you choose. The cake cutting can be done toward the beginning so it can be served as dessert. Though many people see the cake cutting a signal that they can head out.

Can never go wrong with more cake. Lol Usually the early exit is more common with the older guests

5:45 PM Dinner served, followed by Table Visits from B&G
    6:30 PM Father-Daughter Dance
    6:35 PM Mother-Son Dance
    6:40 PM Dancing
    7:20 PM Anniversary Dance
    7:30 PM Cut Cake
    7:35 PM Bouquet Toss
    7:40 PM Dancing

If you have a photographer or DJ I would consider asking them. My photographer had great suggestions for the timeline and we worked together to make the perfect timeline from getting ready all the way to the reception.

Super smart. I was thinking if we did it after cake cutting that it would give the chef time enough to cut it.! You help confirmed my vision you awesome! Thanks

The timeline I shared was built in collaboration with daughter's venue director, photographer, and DJ. The DJ was the one who recommended putting the Anniversary dance, cake cutting, and bouquet toss all in a row, so the general dancing was only interrupted once. His concern was the more you break up the dancing portion of the evening, the more people & "room energy" you potentially lose each time. Also, the videographers were only staying through the bouquet toss, so daughter wanted that and the cake cutting done fairly early compared with the end of the party. Good luck!

Our photographer came up with our day of timeline (along with our planner/DOC). However, our photographer took the reigns on it. So I would suggest talking to your photographer about her/his timing for the day.

Do you have a DJ? I was worried about timelines too, but our DJ figures everything for us.

Yeah but it was legit so BASIC. But it gave us a starting point. I used this timeline from the knot that seems sooooooo detailed from pre-wedding to post-wedding. So I plan to do a combo of both. I never really paid attention to the flow of a wedding. I’ve been in a weeding as a MOH before and I don’t remember anything passed the ceremony. And no I wasn’t drunk lol there was no alcohol served. But I don’t remember even eating lol.
