Timeline 5-10pm help

Karen, on May 18, 2018 at 4:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 3
Can anyone share their timelines for a wedding where the ceremony starts at 5 and ends at 10? How much time should be left over after dinner?

    My ceremony starts at 4 and we're planning on the reception being over by 11, so not quite the same, but here is our tentative schedule;

    4pm- Ceremony

    4:30pm- Cocktail Hour/Pictures

    5:30pm- Dinner Seating

    6:30pm- Toasts/Speeches/Etc

    6:45pm- First Dance/Mother&Daughter Dances

    7:00pm- Let the party begin

    10:30pm- Last Call

    11:00pm- Everyone leaves

    5:30pm - finish pictures/cocktail hour ( did a first look and wedding party pictures before ceremony)

    6:30pm - First dance/dinner (buffet)

    7:15pm - father and mother dances/toasts

    7:30pm - Dancing begins

    7:45pm - Cake cutting

    10pm - Everyone leaves

    Hi Karen,

    The first things to sort out are how long your ceremony will take, what pictures you want to take and when/where, and if any travel time needs to be factored in between locations. A few of these articles might help you begin to bring your timeline together:
