We figured if groom and groomsmen wear the bowtie we could have the fathers wear the tie to set them apart.

BOW TIE for the Groom for sure. Is it a formal wedding or black tie?

@kitkatt I work at a shop and they didn't send a pocket square with the tuxes so I took a sample in the same color and folded it up and stuck it in there lol. The pocket square will look much nicer the day of.

I'm trying to decide this!! I think I want FH in a bow tie and GM's in regular ties. It's up to them in the end. I'm not making the decisions. I found this one today and thought it was very handsome.

DF wants a bow tie. *sigh* And a cummerbund. *double sigh* It's his attire, so he gets the final say of course, but I would prefer him in a vest and either a tie or bow tie, but he insists on the bow tie. I have no idea why.

I don't like bow ties very much, never have. I just like the look of ties. However my FH loves bow ties so that's what he and the guys will be wearing

I love bow ties as more casual low key looks and ties for more formal events - I'm team tie though I can see its an UO. I just feel the bowtie as formal wear is so prom. (which is a silly thought, mind you, since proms are quite formal)... just MHO

I would go with a bow tie in your case, I think they're typically more formal than a tie.
