Thoughts? Would you partake?

Roane, on June 23, 2020 at 10:53 PM Posted in Parties and Events 1 19
I saw this on Pinterest and I am Intrigued.

How would you feel about a bounce house at a wedding or rehearsal dinner? Childish? Tacky? Would you jump? Thoughts? Would you partake? 1

I would jump ! But that also depends on what I’m gonna be wearing that day. Although the thing is I don’t know how much that would actually be used

Not at a wedding, with my hair done and a fancy dress and jewelry.

But possibly at a rehearsal dinner! Those are a lot more casual.

Half our guest list will ultimately be teammates (read: former frat boys/honorary frat boy girls) and children so I don't doubt that it would be used. I'm just curious if it's wedding appropriate. And if the ladies in our family would jump.

For a casual outdoor summer countryside wedding it would work. I wouldn't do it at a rehearsal. It's a barefoot type activity so keep that in mind but it wouldn't stop the ones that wanted to participate.

I would never call that tacky or childish because there's no reason to demean something if it's not your personal taste. Whether people use it depends on your guests. Are they the "I'm going to have fun with anything" or "a wedding requires formality" type?
Anything can be wedding-appropriate as you choose. I think there might be a couple of these on offbeatbride.com

I personally wouldn't jump in one due to wearing a dress and my hair. Curls are rebellious enough already without static! lol The main issue for me would be the dress, though. They're not very jumping friendly. That said, I would totally want to participate, and I'd be a little sad that I couldn't. That's just me, though!

I just saw this today and I was intrigued by it. If I attended a wedding with it, I’d probably jump. But I wouldn’t have it for mine. My FH is an amputee and he wouldn’t be comfortable with that and I wouldn’t do it without him at our wedding.

I would do it at a festival or bbq where I wasn’t dressed up, but not at a wedding event in my nice clothes

Rehearsal dinner yes! Especially if you make it clear that it is casual.

I just would really feel comfortable on a bounce house in a dress.

If it was a super casual wedding and I was in jeans or shorts, I might! Depending on the vibe. I don't see my husband ever getting in one of these haha!

I wouldn’t jump because I wouldn’t jump in a dress. If it was a super casual rehearsal or something I’d be down for jumping but only if I was forewarned so that I knew to wear bounce-appropriate clothing

Heck yes I would jump not long because jumping shakes up all the alcohol in your system (something to think about) but yes maybe for a quick min and especially for a photo op.

I would jump on that in a heartbeat. Make sure you bring a change of clothes if doing for the wedding. I actually told my fiance I wanted a game station during the wedding so we could have video games like mario cart and just dance to have fun on. Childish yes. My idea yes as well.

I for sure will have one. We will have a lot of kids and we both have great friends and family, who will jump into it in a heartbeat.

I'm actually having one for the engagement and bridal party Smiley catface I think it's going to be so much fun and not tacky at all. We really wanted it for our wedding but our venue is historic and we are not allowed one. My FH literally said we need to reserve it for adults only minimum an hour to two before the kids attack it Smiley xd When he said this I realized again he's definitely my other half.

We are doing an I Do BBQ and we thought about maybe adding this! It looks so fun! But definitely would not do it for the actual wedding day!

I WOULD LOVE THIS! Just give the ladies a heads up so they can wear little shorts under their dresses

No mainly because I will be wearing a dress and would be afraid to tear it. I'm also frail in health so I don't want to tempt fate. I would pose in it with my date, and I would love to see the others partake. I don't think its tacky or anything, if it fits the personality of the couple then I'm all for it.
